Just a bit of advice needed I'm 6ft 183cm tall with a arm span of 182cm and I'm wondering which size slash to go for?.
I've ridden a 2015 slash 7 19.5 actual 18.5 with 780mm wide bars and found it a bit cramped in the cockpit so I'm thinking of going for the 21.5 act 19.5 are do you think that would be too big ?
Any advice appreciated
Cheers

6'3" here and I am on the 21.5

Love mine but at your height it might be more of a preference for "feel".

I know what you mean I've sat on the new giant reigns and the large with the longer top tube does feel more comfortable and it measures about the same as a 21.5 slash top tube unfortunately theirs no retailers near me with a 21.5 trek frame for me to try

Has anybody had any issues with the chain stay cracking on the welds on a 2015 slash 8.9?

I'm 6'4" and on a 21.5 2016 Slash8. Reach is good but the seat tube is fairly long on it. My 150 dropper is almost buried in the seat tube.

I am 183cm . I ordered a 19.5 as I had no standover clearance on the 21.5 . I would have preferred a little more length but it wasn't possible . Jumping off the pedals to flat feet would have been a painful experience on the 21.5 . I am actually considering a reach adjust headset to add a tiny bit more length. It would only be 5mm -7mm but every little helps .
Not sure if the reach extending headsets would be compatible with knock block though .

Yes good point. Same thing for me. That is probably the only gripe i would have about it. It would be nice to be able to get a bit more room out of the seat tube but I think that is the lesser of two evils between seat tube or have a bit more cramped feel in the reach.

Anyone know the longest travel dropper that would fit the slash 29?
It comes spec'd with 125mm. But I'd love to go 150mm or even better 170mm.

That'll depend on your frame size and how much post you're going to run above the seat collar

Size large using a 150mm transfer post, don't think a large would take a 170mm

Paint crack that's all, I already have them around the minonlink area on a new slash29

That's just paint, if was cracked it would look way worst than that

I'm running a 150mm reverb stealth and it works nicely on my 2016 slash 8 27.5

but if there is cracking in the paint of a high stress point could that lead to the weld cracking?
