First Ride: Deviate Claymore MX
@plyawn: Just wait til the fall and they'll go on for a nice price again most likely. Both a friend and I picked up full 29er versions on sale between last October and this Winter for what we felt were perfectly reasonable prices.

First Ride: Deviate Claymore MX
@onawalk: nice in spirit but I'm not going to do that unless I fill the routing hole and repaint the bike. Then I'd consider it.

the WRP link was pulled because the suspension got fouled or something at full bottom out due to a lack of clearance between the frame and the swingarm. So to say the WRP link "doesn't mess with the bike at all" is a bit of a strong statement when WRP themselves removed it from sale. For what it's worth, Deviate does sell this as a rear triangle only that is backwards compatible with the front for people that already own one. You don't need an entirely new frame.

It doesn't make sense, it's just a little easier to deal with when building the bike. That's it. I own one and would have preferred it stay totally external om the rear triangle too.

The Actual Weights of 18 Enduro World Cup Bikes
@onawalk: I don't think it's a particular issue, plenty of riders are selecting bikes with less travel for a few rounds.

Shimano Files Patent for a Direct-Mount Single-Sided 3-Piston Brake Caliper [Updated]
@Caddz: yeah cuz we'd all be stoked to be riding 22.2 mm bars, 135mm qr, and freewheels on our otherwise modern bikes right?

How Can e-Bike Batteries Be Recycled?
@justinfoil: That's why I said when the bike is unrideable, not the battery. In my mind its when the motor is completely broken with no prospect of fixing, all the wiring is shot, the frame is cracked, standards so outdated you can't find anything, something along those lines. I'm not sure its useful to define exactly what event would lead someone to write the bike off. It's probably less than 100% unrideable and closer to "more effort than it's worth".

How Can e-Bike Batteries Be Recycled?
At what point do you recycle your e-bike battery? In my mind, it's when the bike becomes 100% unrideable and not before. I'd gotta think that even if you have an old battery with only 40% or so of the original capacity, you'd keep that one in your car as a backup to get that final lap in.... unless you're on a platform which doesn't allow the fast swap of batteries. Is there a capacity cutoff where they become dangerous to keep around and you'd really ought to get rid of them?
