Had that frame for 6 years, never ran a coil but I also think that the bike is too linear. I ran all 6 tokens on my Monarch and a lot of pressure and still used all travel in harsh but not deep impact trails. Rarely bottomed out hardly, but used all travel and the bike wasn't very supportive.
I now have the Reign 29er and the wheels are cool and all, whatever, but the biggest difference I feel is in leverage ratio. It's much more progressive and supportive which allows you to pump and pop a lot more.
Ok chaps quick questions. Got quite stock suspension in my Reign 2 Ltd 2016. My weight is around 86kg / 170 lbs.
Can i fit coil shock in there? If not which air one you recommend? (trails/jumps)
Is making it a mullet gonna completely slash geometry out? I am thinking about changing stock Pike for Lyrik/Zeb 170mm and thats what came to my head right now.
Thanks in advance!
Can't say much about mulleting it but I've been running coil since I got mine and it's been working really well, but just make sure you have the right size coil so you don't bind. I've recently been running a factory DHX2 with SLS coil at 550lbs and I weigh about 90KG
Hey everyone! Just wondering if anyone was willing to part ways with an XL 2015-17 front triangle. 2015 2 alloy preferred but will purchase any. Also must be willing and able to ship to Australia, with extra from me of course.
Would love to give a second life to Reign, absolutely love it but getting a little too small.
Hi all, Really useful thread. I just recently updated the my wifey’s bike to a Reign Advanced 1 2015, and struggled with the dropper as that curve is really serious and I haven’t thought about that. Thankfully, OneUp components are here to help as there V2 is quite shorter than most droppers on the market. Except from the dropper, i should route a new brake hose, as the current one came shorter. First impressions are that even with the current shock the rear end is really plush and the bike itself came out pretty cool. .
Is this a size small? If so what size OneUp post did you get? I want to get the 150 over the 120 but am afraid it'll stick out too much.
Hey guys, I have a (stupid) question about a 2015 Reign 2 that I bought for my brother. Noticed a little play after I had bought it from some guy on Fb Marketplace. Come to pull the rear shock apart, I noticed there's a gap between the bearing and the mounting hardware on the top eyelet. What spacers/hardware extras do I need so that the shock mounting hardware jives with the frame bearings?

hello, I'm 15 years old and I would like to start enduro in competition (coupe de france, I'm french) I have a reign 2 from 2019, I would like to find the perfect setting of the bike so that it is fast and stable but still a bit playful. I weigh 60kg and I am 1.70 cm tall. the bike is a size M I changed the brakes for RSC codes and I changed the wheels for dt suiss ex471 with dt350 hubs I ride at 25% sag on the fork and the rebound damper open to the max on the shock absorber and closed by 3 clicks on the fork. I have a token that I did not install in the fork. if ever someone could give me their reign setting for enduro. Sorry for my bad english (i use google traduction)
Hey guys,I have a 2019 Giant Reign 2. I'm currently looking at upgrading my crankset (bb, chainring and cranks) to a Raceface 32t. I need help on which ones would fit the bike since I couldn't find any info about it on the website. Thanks!

Bb92 bottom bracket, and there you have 30mm options (bad reliability) or 24mm, the intended for the bike originally. You can find raceface and cranks for bb92 in 24mm with direct mount option and run a ring with 6mm offset. Or find an old 104bcd crank and mount and old style 4 bolt chainring. With 32t you will have no problem going the 104bcs route to go lower teeth you will have to go direct mount.
Be careful with the direct mount cranks sets because they are almost all for boost spacing. Is your bike boost in the rear?
