What is the top tube length on your bike? If I remember right, it should be around 22.25"? The "bmx" way of measuring top tube is from the center of the seat tube to the center of the head tube.

Apparently, Specialized isn't doing this, even though their specs list "horizontal" and "actual." There is no way the "actual" is 612.5mm, which is 24.1".

Normally, in DJ frames, 21.5"tt is Small, 22" is Medium, 22.5" is Large.

It may be that taller handlebars will do the trick for you. Or maybe, you really do want/need a longer frame. There are a few 23"tt DJ frames out there. Then there are customs.

Some NS District 4" rise bars may make your bike more comfortable.

Maybe the Suburban because it's slightly longer in front.

What I would suggest for you would actually be the TRANSITION Trail or Park, 23" top tube (size L/XL). A friend of mine bought one, he's about 6'4". The Trail or Park had a bottom bracket that was a little lower relative to axle level than some of the newer frames that are coming out. Because of your height, a lower bb is going to feel better (you will not be standing too tall above the bike and hunching down). Also, the 23"tt frame fits big. I have a 22.5" Black Market Mob and I could tell that my friends Transition 23" felt roomier.

This is his Transition Trail or Park 23"tt:

The Trail or Park is a discontinued model, but you can find them used:

Hands down I think you should get the new Kona shonky AL frame. It has a 24.5 TT which is pretty unheard of. I prefer steel vs aluminum however u can't be picky when going long in the dj world. If you don't go with this, your next best option is the transition pbj large which is in the 23" range.

that is an "effective" top tube measurement.

but still, you're right. the Kona Shonky AL is long. the 2012 TRANSITION Trail or Park (Large) had a 410.4mm "reach." This Kona (large) has 428mm "reach."

One thing that a lot of other people in this thread mention is that you can try other handlebars with a lot of rise and play with stem lenght.

With my Octane One Void frame with it's high bb and low front I would have wanted to have my high rise bar. what stem lenght and bar rise you got on your p3 frame now?
