Haha yeah well this is it for spending money on bikes, this bike i get will be final and i plan on keeping it for at least 3 years, so im getting a super good bikeBig Grin so i dont have to upgrade anything on itCool

£1500 on specialized bighit 3 (sold)
£1200 on 24seven crosser (selling frame now)
£1700 on my kona howler 08
total=4400 in the past 1 and a half years and the price is still going up on the howler by the week!

Not much considering what I have.

R10000 on my Giant AC with boxxer team.
R5500 for my foes frame.
R2000 for brakes upgrade

Sold the Giant Frame for R2500

So R15000 which is abt $2000 for a Foes DHS Mono.

I made the tota considering that my parents have paid me my actual bike


Set of tires (cheap) 40$
Saddle: 40$ (destroyed)
Saddle: 20$
Tubes ( 6x): 30$
Wheel truing and 2 new spokes: 20$
Brake pads and bleeding: 5$ total (huge discount thanks to my lbs)
grips: 8$

Total: 163$
Still to come:

4600$ for my new dh bike tell me what I should buy here

64$ for new tires on my kona

my new sunday (1 in avatar pic but with 07 red and white factory frame} is insured for 13000 new zealand dolars but would have only cost me about 4500 because i got heaps of cheaps deals

my wife actually sat down a few weeks ago and totaled up what i have spent on my rides over the couple years (lucky for me she only looked at the bank statements from one account), she didn't factor in cash, the other day i sat down and worked out what i have spent over the last few years, i think i should probably check myself into rehab.

2006 FRW Northrop 1000 Euro/$1300 *stock
build kit/other shiny bits/protective equipment $2000
"custom" paint job $25

2006 Cannondale Prophet $1400

plane ticket to fly halfway around the world to get the exact bike she wanted $900

2007 Stinky (frame and shock only) $700

misc parts (chains, cassettes, grips, ect.) $500

Wrench hours- i wish i only knew

Hours being chastised for spending too much on bike stuff- more than i spend wrenching and riding

TOTAL CASH SPENT- $16,925 (this is just the stuff i can remember)

You Could buy a Yamaha R1 for less that that.
