When you guys set your 318's to lockout, how much movement do you get when you try to compress the fork?

For some reason if I put my full weight down on mine it's got quite a bit more movement. But it has been lying on it's side for a few weeks waiting to be put on my bike.

The lockout feature on mine lasted for exactly one minute after riding it. When I first mounted it I put it on full lockout and pushed down on it in the garage... full rigid. I rode out in the street and messed around on the curbs a little, and it got a little movement, been that way ever since. It still locks out enough to make it easier to grind up a hill, but that's about all it's good for. I wouldn't worry about it too much, it is a suspension fork after all.

the lockout doesn't mean your fork would become a rigid... if you want a perfect lockout, try a cannondale lefty.. now THAT's a lockout.
