My shifter stopped working and then I noticed the shifter assembly has come loose and not sure how to reassemble it, is someone able to help me out? Thanks in advance.

It is a 2016 SRAM X01 Right 11 Speed Trigger Shifter

-What are the two springs for shown in Picture 6 and where do they go?
-The little plate shown in pictures 4 and 5, which side is up? 'L' up or 'R' up?

Pictures of the shifter here:
Picture 1: Trigger Assembly
Picture 2: Top Assembly - Top Side
Picture 3: Bottom Side of top assembly
Picture 4: Plate 'R' Side
Picture 5: Plate 'L' Side
Picture 6: Two Springs

Cheers

Forgot to take a picture of the little 'Y' bracket as well, but I found where that goes. There is a little slot for the small spring to go in, and the other end of it pushes onto the Y bracket and the plate goes over top, R side up.

Only thing I do not know is where the bigger spring goes, anyone?

Thanks

Thanks for all the help!

Well, after playing with it for way too long I finally figured it out, so I took some photos to help other people if this happens.

Well done man! You literately saved me lots of time, it would've took me few day to figured out on my own but seeing your pictures it took me an hour to assemble this shifter.
One question, what grease have you packed there? I am thinking about shimano dura ace?

Awsome thread and good work.

Most people just cry and buy a new shifter when that happens... they can be very complex to assemble

I just used standard wheel bearing and chassis grease I had at home, been ridding a while now without problems.

Many thanks to you! I was getting mad trying to reassemble what I dismounted unintentionally in the blink of an eye...
Maybe this additional info helps others: A GX Eagle 12spd shifter is identical.

Obviously an old post but I have to say this saved the day for me when needed to swap shifter cables and accidentally took off the wrong side. Couldn't for the life of me figure out where the main circular spring was supposed to attach.

O+

I've been through two GX 10-speed trigger shifters now, both ending with the internals being "stripped" and the ratchetting mechanism slipping after pulling the cable/derailleur/chain past the 3 smallest cogs in the cassette.

No idea what I'm doing wrong and I can't see anything wrong during a disassembly.

Is this the same process for a xx1 eagle shifter

Hi, I did the mistake of taking the bottom bolt out and got my X01 dh shifter in few pieces. I put it together as much as I could thanks to yt videos of a simalar shifter. At the end, I cant get my last spring attach correct. The one on your 2nd picture, it looks exactly the same when I attach it, it goes up on one side and gets squished on the other side. How do I make it so it stays like its supposed to?
Some help would be awsome, thanks.
