Im looking to buy the new down hill bike. I was looking Santa cruz V10 C but had concerns over the quality of the fork (FOX 40 Float Performance Elite). if anyone could share their experience it would be much appreciated. If you also have suggestions for other downhill bikes in this price range it would be helpful. thanks!Smile

40s in general are fantastic. I wouldn't worry about it being a performance one, lacking kashima doesn't matter and although I haven't ridden that particular fork I've spent a month on the fit4 damper in a 36 Factory and thought it was one of the best forks I've ever ridden.

Yeah, the performance elite version is the exact same version as the factory model except without the kashima coat, so same damper and air spring,
