Hi, my boy had a dartmoor built for him but the gear ratio is terrible, the guy (no names mentioned) has put a 34 on the front and an 11 on the rear. I cant change the front due to the size of the cranks. Anyone know what would be good to put on the rear? Thanks
well first, you should be able to go down to a 30 tooth in the front (that is the smallest chainring that fits on a 104BCD), but if you just want to change the rear cog and keep the 34 up front, something in the 14 to 16 tooth range would put it to where most people have their's setup. But also depends on how old/strong he is.
also who the hell was rocking 34/11 that dude must have had massive quads.
I had the bike built by a well known bike shop, tbh i have had various issues which have had to be put right. My lad is 9 but very strong rider, i might get a couple of options for him to try. Thanks for the help
