I recently cracked my tibia in a crash. On crutches for a while, but hoping I'll pedal again one day.
I usually wear pads, but not on the last ride... doh.

Anyway, I'd like to get some burlier pads. In the past I've used g-forms and the lighter duty Troy Lee stuff. I'm definitely trail 95% of the time and 5% shuttle days, so I need something that is comfy to pedal in.

In terms of options I was thinking:

Scott Grenade EVO
Troy Lee Raid
Dakine Hellion

It gets pretty cold where I live in the winter, and in past experiences I've found POC d3o firms up too much to be useful in cold conditions; so, of the above, cold performance is a consideration.

Thoughts on how these pads stack up?
