Hi. I have the Norco Ryde 26 2015, which has Mid BB on it. Also I have Shimano Zee 68/73 crankset at home. Is there any way that those Shimano cranks will fit into my Mid BB shell ? Please help, any advices are welcome.

Google usually works in 99.995% of cases

I don't know the answer to your question. But, I do know that the outer bearing diameter in a Mid bb is 41mm.

I'm not sure if the Praxis one would actually work? A Midd bb shell has 41mm inner diameter vs BB30 has 42mm inner diameter.

https://praxiscycles.com/product/conv-bb-shimano-mtn/ "This Conversion BB is for installing a Shimano Hollowtech II steel spindle crank in either BB30 or PF30 MTN frame. "

BB30 frame shell inner diameter is 42mm, has two bearing retaining clips and two 6806 bearings pressed directly in the frame.

So....Is there any way or not? I'll likely just stick it with some nice and cheap BMX 165mm cranks. BTW I'm only 170cm tall and 175mm cranks are way OP for me

Did you ever get these to fit? If not what did you do instead? I bought an older ryde that I am refurbihsing and the cranks it came with are totally rusted. I am looking to go with lighter aluminum set, but bottom brackets are insanely confusing.

Cheers

Hi, i have Cult Crew BMX 165mm cranks and fit well... From what I have learned there is no way to fit any MTB type cranks with Mid BB.... https://shop.tbb-bike.cz/kliky-cult-crew-black/
Cheers

Shimano zee needs an external BB- your Mid press-fit BB isnt threaded. If you had/have a threaded euro BB on the norco they will work.

It's still not possible. Norco Ryde has Mid BB, fits ONLY BMX cranks... If you want to put some Shimano cranks it must be all custom with custom machined external cups and only 83mm Shimano cranks, not 68/73.

Lol- did you read my post? Thats what i said. If the norco had/has a threaded BB you could put the Zee cranks. It doesn't, it has a press- fit Mid BB.

I'll say it again- if your DJ frame had a euro threaded BB (many do) you could fit your Zee cranks..

If you have a mid bottom bracket. there are many companies making mid bottom bracket bearings for a 24mm spindle, which shimano cranks use. you just may need to add some spacers to make up for the longer spindle..

I have seen a BMXer run carbon MTB cranks on a mid BB, this is what he told me he used:
