Hello, I recently moved from Canada to London for work and I'm looking for riding buddies to go and shred some parks. I have a full DH bike so pedalling is not an option. I'm looking to go to Aston Hill, Wales and hopefully fort william this season. I don't have a car but I was thinking on renting one or pay for gas if some joins and has a car.

Get in touch and let's have some fun in UK.

Depends what part of London you’re in, there’s some fun riding (nothing like Canada) down south (Penshurst, Bull track, Surrey hills, tidworth Freeride and loads of others but you’ve got to find them.

Train if you can get a DH on there, it's a train ride out of centre to some spots

Living in London for my sis and itching to get riding again, so much so that I've just got my hands on a shiny new YT Capra. I should have thought with head not heart as we have 0 space and top floor flat so its currently still boxed, and killing me knowing so. Any ideas if bike shops will store it for me, so I can access it for riding? Or any other safe, secure storage ideas that won't cost £100,000,000 a month?? Clapham/Battersea area if possible. Many thanks.

Hello, thanks for the replies.
I'm currently living a bit north of london, around queens park area.
I was checking Aston hill and today a friend of mine told me about surrey hills.

Would be someone living close by, interested in renting a car together and shred some trails?

Cheers.

Hi mate,

Just browsing and found this post. I'm moving to London in a couple of weeks and looking to pick up a new bike not long after I land. Super keen to head for some parks once I'm all set up.

There's quite a bit in Surrey Hills that you can get to fairly easy without a car. Astons the easiest. I've been looking at Rogate recently as that looks quite easy as does Windhill. Swinleys not too difficult to get to but not much DH stuff there....londons just a bit rubbish for riders sadly!

Hello, thanks for your reply. I was at rogate a couple of weeks ago and was cool and fun. A bit short trails but had a good time. I'm planning to be back there soon. This saturday I'm heading to windhill. I've seen a couple of videos and it looks fun as well.

No, I ended up finding very cheap place to rent a car and I've been renting a car for all my rides. Is usually around 8 pounds a day with unlimited mileage.
Let me know if you want more info about this rental.
This saturday I'm going with a guy I met at rogate and I'm hoping the weather stays nice. Fingers crossed.

I feel you bro, I'm from northern Spain and lived in Canada for a while before moving to London.
I'm in the same situation, no car, no riding buddies and kinda stuck. I'll have plenty of time the next couple weeks to go somewhere, so hmu to Surrey Hills or any other place. Wales Bike Park would be cool too.
