HELP! Drivetrain / Cassette upgrade with Sram X9 rear derailleur ?

Hi MTB Friends,

I am looking to upgrade my drivetrain on my 2015 Trek Remedy 27.5. I currently have a 33T chainring with a sram 10 gear rear cassette.

I don't have close to the range that I need on both climbing and definitely downhill. I need more power.

What cassettes would be compatible with this derailleur set up? I was looking at the eThirteen TRS 11 speed - and possibly the eagle?? Can the sram x9 handle the range??

Any and all feedback and input is greatly appreciated!!! Is it worth investing in a new derailleur?

Cheers,

Logan

I've done TRS 10 spd (9-42) with an X9 long cage and it worked. I wouldn't bet on 46t working, though. Maybe, but it seems like a stretch.
