Looking to replace my current fox rear shock on my mission 2. I do a fair amount of climbing, as well as going fast over rough stuff. I'm looking between the fox float x2 or DPX2. Anyone have any recommendations let me know.

I am new to mountain biking so I really have no experience but my X2 in my mission pro has been great so far.

I replaced the shock on my Mission 2 with a DVO topaz last year. Changed the entire feel of the bike for the better. Best shock I’ve ever ridden.

Get a DVO shock. I've got a Jade on mine but if you like the air shocks better they have those as well. Great brand.

Does anyone know the compatibility of a coil shock with a release 27.5 frame? I was thinking about putting a dhx2 on mine

As long as it's 200x57 or 7.875x 2.25 there's plenty of room for one.

Hmm I honestly can't say. What shock do you currently have? My 20' Release 3 has a DPX2 from the factory and with one of the smaller spacers I find it to be very well balanced.
