Morgan blue chain keepers, can they run 12mm axles?

I'm having a frustrating time attempting to find anywhere that sells Morgan blue's 12mm thru axle chain keeper, here in the UK, there all in Europe it would seem for some odd reason?

Morgan blue do make a non thru axle version, that has a butterfly bolt that seems to work only for QR on the face of it, (not much info around on it) I'm wondering if it might be as simple as whipping the little bolt out, and hey ho, your 12mm axle slides on the keeper and your good to go, or would this need me taking a drill to it, to adapt the keeper to fit the axle?
Any advice from users of this keeper would be a great help, see link if it helps to work out what keeper I'm on about.

Also if anyone knows of a hack/homemade keeper for thru axles,that will do the job (holds chain when cleaning or transporting the bike) do let me know if ya canSmile
