€72,000 Worth of Bikes Stolen From Propain Event Truck
Real shame to see that events now seem to be a realistic target for bike theft, on a grand scale. I suppose with the rise in prices of bikes these days, comes a rise in risk of theft of them from unguarded areas, such as a big ol van full of tasty MTB's parked up. Might be time for company's to invest in better ways of keeping the bikes safer, like full time security maybe. looks like the scum that took these sat back, waited and watched for there moment of least risk and then struck. An equally big ol hardnut sat with the bikes, (..poss with said propane torch..) ready to welcome any and all dickheads, willing to take him on for them, may up there risk-o-meter enough for them to think better of the idea.

Walmart Launches High-End 'Viathon' Bike Brand
Knew the words "Walmart" and "Bike" were going to cause MANY comments here! if I was in the market for what should be a Walmart priced bike I'd prob be looking at this > http://calibrebicycles.com/bike/sentry/ 2 grand's worth of bargain basketry! I would hope PB reviewers might be looking into it, fairly quickly. :)

WaveCel - Bontrager's New Concussion-Preventing Helmet Technology
Same! ..the Tectal just fits really dammed well...and that alone inspires confidence enough for me, that I'd prob be 99% ok after a crash, I may well not be, but I'll take my chances in comfort.

WaveCel - Bontrager's New Concussion-Preventing Helmet Technology
I'm all for lid tech progressing, but...how's the fit?...Frankly if it doesn't fit, its never going to be worn is it....about the most important thing about a helmet for me at least is, I want to put it on, then forget it's there within 5 min's. Less I'm just about to hit home on mother natures best work, Hard!.. then I'll want to be aware it's there, and not about to drop off my oddly shaped noggin when I start ploughing with my head. This seems a better way to go then a slip plane (mips) between you and the lid, fit wise. though having EPS, and this WaveCel does worry me a tad in terms of heat dissipation, but maybe that would make it a good winter riding lid?

London Bike Thief Foiled by Door
Hmm...odd thief chap!... one glove? a very bad Michael Jackson impersonator maybe? great clear pic's of this dick, so I can't see his choice of career, lasting very long! Probably time though for Cloud9 cycles to break out the bike locks, as hindsight is a wonderful thing. I would think they sell them? (are there bike shops that don't?.. especially in London!) be a good idea to show just how effective they can be:)
