Hi guys, i am looking at buying my first santa cruz bronson carbon. It is a second hand bike im looking at but its an XL. I have read a few reviews saying that santa cruz sizing are a tad small. I am 6ft1 with long arms and a 32inch inner leg, so the website points me in the direction of an xl. Just wondering what people are riding that are around my size Currently ride a large Trek slash with a slam stem and 780mm bars
Were you able to check out the bike? I think the XL might be your size. Obviously the only way to tell is to try both and determine which is the better fit for you. I'm 5' 10" with a 32 inch inseam and a L fits me fine.
I am on a 2018 Tallboy XL. Looking at a 2019 Hightower LT in Large. Wheelbases are the same. I am right at 6' long arms too, and 32" inseam as well. My bike fits me well, roomy. The HT feels good too though. At 6'1, I think it will be worth the drive. Only time I feel my bike is big is in the tighter turns.
I happened to demo a large Bronson v3. Before that I would have been going for a medium. It surprisingly fit fine. I was sold on the Bronson and agonized over getting a large, I did and it fits perfectly. 5 9 with 30" inseam
Im 6 foot zero and have the large Bronson V3. I sometimes wish it was slightly longer. 10mm even. All models released after the Bronson 3 (mega tower, hightower) are about a size longer in reach which is annoying. Feels like the Bronson missed the new-school reach numbers, or maybe they felt 27.5 doesnt need as long a reach as a 29??
