Video: Why Beginner and Advanced Riders Love Blue Trails (and Intermediate Riders Don't)
@jlb1: I get it, but this isn't even on bike park trails. Trail systems being "maintained" by bike park mentallity, and trying to turn downs into bike park sections. I get so mad when I head downa fun section, ready for a set of roots that require some thought to handle at speed, only to have them dug up and dirt put in place. These aren't big steep descents, but longer gradual descents that allow you to carry some speed, but more than some should due to smoothness/easiness. Can't change it though, it is the prevailing thought here.

Absolutely agree and I have told trail system folks this before. Roots are not dangerous! They keep speeds down.

The real crime is dumbing down the intermediate trails and some blue trails into blue and green. Big trend here to sanitize trails into flow, bermed stuff that you barely need susp for. Lost lots of good roots to pop off of on blue trails gone!

The Final Randoms - Sea Otter 2023
@vinay: Reeb will do the same. I broached that subject with them. They will even change my color down the road if I want. So yeah, very pleased.

Review: 2023 Giant Reign Advanced Pro 1
@onawalk: could be. Have not found it to be finicky. Susp can be finicky. Mine has the stock DPS on it now and its a different bike than when I had the DPX2. I had a similar experience with my HT2. Shock change transformed the bike. But yeah, I talked to Reeb briefly about the design, while installing the shock, mainly to make sure that was normal. I did not get into details, but it works!

Review: 2023 Giant Reign Advanced Pro 1
@nation: thanks. A friend just picked up a new one. Never really been a fan, was always the large souless brand, seemed cheap, didn't like the name. I know, is what it is. Was on SC up till last year. Their design just went in a direction that really did not fit my riding, and do not like internal brake routing. Went back to my roots, similar to my original SC, an 01 Superlight, and got a Reeb, as I mentioned. The questions I asked are reasons I ranked SC above others. I had not inquired on the Giant. I imagine the new bikes ride well. My HTLT is a 19, still running stock bearings, BTW.
