I am thinking about buying a Marin Alcatraz for my first Dirt Jumper, as it is not very expensive and designed with Matt Jones, a professional slopestyle rider. Any opinions or other low-budget choices?

I’m not sure without looking it up, but I think there are some different versions of the Alcatraz. My loca bike shop has the 27.5” wheel version with gears. It felt surprisingly good just cranking around the street. I’ve had several DJ and Slopestyle bikes, and despite the bigger wheels and slacker head angle I think that version of the Alcatraz could be pretty cool if you wanted something that could also be a bit of a trail bike in addition to jumping.
