Best CHEAP full finger gloves

Wondering if anyone has come across alternatives to overpriced, MTB specific full finger gloves on the market.

I've used fox dirtpaw for a few seasons because I just happened to have found them at a good price (about $25 -30 ), but they aren't always easy to find for such a good deal and similar gloves often cost upwards of $40. Not hugely impressed with their reliability either, since they ALWAYS rip along the finger seams.

A lot of the Mechanix gloves are way to bulky and don't fit very well. Tried a light duty Husky brand glove at home depot which was ok, but the pinky finger was way too long.


Suggestions for something in the $20 range? Durability is valued above anything "lightweight" and "cool/ventilated". I don't want to shred them to pieces in just a few days of DH

I loved the Mechanix Wear Mpacts with the padded leather palm and fingers and a bit of armor on the back of them.
They fit me perfectly and when Crappy Tire would put them on sale at $28 a pair the buy in was much easier.
Of course nothing lasts forever. That glove had been discontinued and the replacement is less than ideal for cycling or anything else as far as I am concerned.
Now I am rocking a pair of vintage full fingered MEC gloves that I found in my gear drawer and some fingerless Specialized gloves in the summer.
Sorry not much help but feel much better about my Mechanix Wear rant....
Watching this thread with interest.

2nd on mechanix wear gloves. I generally wear the leather on the palm out before I kill the nylon side. I go for the standard original pair that is just a leather palm with a nylon top. My last pair was a kobalt pair with the rubberized finger armor. I have worn the palm out over 3 seasons on them.

I buy Fox gloves for $14 from Moto webshops. But got 2 pairs of Dakines for $12 each on sale at REI last year. Dakines are so much stronger then the fox gloves.

I have been running the Giro DND gloves for 2 seasons and they have been good. Cheap at about $25 and have held together on 3-4 rides per week. Regularly toss them in the washer, no issues. They don’t have a strap at the wrist though and some people need that.

I find it amusing (and simultaneously infuriating) how moto gear online is consistently cheaper than anything marketed towards the MTB world, despite the fact that it's basically the exact same gear. Rolleyes I noticed it when I was initially looking for a cheap new jersey.



Curious how these would hold up (Cheapest, decent seeming gloves on amazon) Anybody tried them?

They actually look alright however check seams and for double/triple stitching or lack of.

In the end I found a good deal at KMS tools for the mechanix Original glove. Seems well made and fit absolutely perfectly...probably the most comfortable glove I've put on, especially prior to breaking them in. Also got a discount through work and landed them for $24 a pair!

MTB brands could definitely take a few pricing and quality pointers from them! Shame how so many gloves these days have ridiculous price tags and are still absolute garbage.
