im currently bombing about on a giant stp with 2008 dirt jumper 3's on it. i was wondering how crazy i can get before i have things breaking on me. i have some rather nice looking drops lined up but want to no the frame and forks will hold up. i have been told about 15 feet but that was an estimate. . . . . . .going to flat any idea how big i can go? im about 11 stone and not a complete hack but not the smoothest person ever.

Those STP frames are pretty tough. Though nothing is indestructible, I would be more concerned about your wheels or cranks holding up. Use your body as suspension and time your landing so that your rear tire touches down slightly before the front and everything should be fine.

just look how hard Lenosky rides his STP in NWD8

well i have done like 2m drops to flat onto crete with ease. higher than 2m maybe. i never really measured but it was rather high. and the bike is still fine

Dude i so agree with maestro...just use Lenosky as an example. Your wheels are going to fold up before your frame does. I think the stp is the most solid feeling bike i've ever owned and i expect i'll still have it when i'm old...i mean a really old man.

yes yes yes and definately. i cant think of anything abuot it that i would change. only thing is the back end is more solid than you can imagine, so if you case hard its hard on your body. and sitting down on it it vibrates like nothing else and you know about every little bump. apart from that i love it and its amazing. if i were you i would buy the frame and build it up if you can though as it could be so much mroe amazing than giant sell it built as. pm me if you want to no more?

i've got a lenosky myself... although i haven't had it long, i've pushed it reasonably far already... but i look forward to a wicked summer on it... it's a tough machine...

the '08 lenosky (canadain version anyways) comes with a sick stock build kit... i've changed few things...

i've swapped the pedals out for speedplay drilliums which i had anyways... and took off the juicy3's and replaced them with a rear BB7

ya, some people like different feeling forks... i like my argyles because they're really friggin stiff...
