Hey. I can get these two bike for nice discounted price. 2700 gbp for specialised enduro or trek slash 8 for1700 gbp. Both 2020 models. Do you have any experiences with these bikes? I'd like to ride downhill tracks and occasionally trail riding. Like 70/30. At the moment I have yt capra 2016 comp. I'm quite happy with YT, but I have a chance to get a new bike for quite attractive price.

I can only vouch for the Slash since I ve got one. Good climber, confidence-inspiring in the DH.
Regarding components, not sure what the Spec comes with, but the Slash can do with a couple of upgrades straight out of the box (Brakes and tires).

I have no experiences with Trek. But the Enduro is as bullet proof a bike as they come. Get one of the X frame new ones while you can before they are gone. The new Enduro frame is just a Santa Cruz clone, and lost its distinct X wing coolness.

If you like the YT you'll love the Enduro. It's phenomenal and hugely confidence inspiring. It's also very different (better) than the older X-wing

The enduro 2020 is definitely more gravity oriented, with a more agressive geometry(64° head angle, bigger reach...), more travel (170mm), while the slash 2020 is more of a capable, big all mountain bike, with a bit more conservative geometry (especially for the carbon models: slacker seat tube, 150mm of travel, 65° head angle in slackest position...),

I personnaly own a trek slash 8 2020 and I use it mainly for trail riding on my locals trails in the french alps, with lots of steep climbing, so I can say that it is an efficient climber...It is also a very confident bike and a great descender.

But if your goal is to mainly ride park or downhill and then trail occasionaly, I think the specialized enduro will be a better choice.
