I do. For lighter riders like me (I'm 66 kg) who only ride enduro occasionally (3/4 races per year) on loamy trails with roots, not much rock, and who don't charge through everything like maniacs, I find them pretty good.

Still riding my Ripmo V1, tweaked the geo with a -1,5° angleset. Now it's a 1210mm wheelbase in size M with 440 reach and 64,4° HTA...Just perfect. It's very light, nimble, very efficient climber and descender (as long as you are not aiming to ride full bike park/fast enduro tracks 100% of the time), just an excellent all mountain bike, and I love the look of the frame that make it stand out from other bikes. It's almost 9 years old now but I don't want to sell it.

Bikes have gotten so much better those last 5-6 years that it is difficult to justify a bike like this one being better than its previous generation. Different, or slightly refined, but not really better. So yeah, it is normal to not be over excited for new releases.

@Altair74: I agree with you about Chamonix; the ban during the summer season had been in place for a long time and I'm okay with that. As for Saint-Gervais, when the decree was issued 3 years ago, the situation was very tense for quite some time with the mayor... and it required lengthy discussions between clubs, associations, and mountain biking professionals with elected officials who are clearly anti-mountain biking. Beyond the purely legal aspect, it's mainly in terms of how other users perceive e-bikes that the sport has really deteriorated.

@26forlyfe: Primarily, municipal decrees prohibit mountain biking (electric and acoustic), particularly in areas like Haute-Savoie (Chamonix, Saint-Gervais-les-Bains, etc.). The Southern Alps are also starting to be affected, such as the Queyras. These are extremely popular areas in the summer, for all types of activities: hiking, trail running, climbing, mountaineering, etc. The surge in e-bike use after the COVID-19 pandemic has created numerous conflicts among users. For the past four years, more and more municipalities have decided to restrict, or even completely prohibit, mountain biking on trails. I'm not even mentioning the relationships with hikers, as they are very rarely cordial, even when being polite and respectful. For my part, I've stopped mountain biking during the tourist season on the trails frequented in July and August because relations with hikers have deteriorated too much.

Yeah...sorry...I just don't like e bikes. They have killed MTBing in the alps and probably in many other places.

This might actually be a good thing...it might finally signal the end of Ebikes on trails in UE countries. With this unnecessarily powerful motor, I hope European regulations will finally recognize all ebikes as motorized vehicles that don't belong on trails.
