I’ve been looking around the market for a new dj’ and have narrowed it down to a few options. One being the commencal absolute dirt. Is this bike worth the money?
The Absolute is a great Dirt Jumper. At the local bike park there are a bunch of them and people really seem to like them. I have the YT Dirt Love but what I noticed is most of the dirt jumpers are very similar so you can't really go wrong with any of them. One thing to consider is the frame material. Absolute is aluminum which is lighter but theoretically not as strong as chromoly. You probably won't have any issues but something to consider based off what you'll be using it for.
I just picked mine up and it’s pretty sick. Only complaint is that commencal pre cut my pike DJ steerer tube, which I bagged them not to have done but they said it was out of their hands. It’s cut to 7” and now I can’t run my gyro. I don’t get why they would do that and take away from taller riders achieving a more comfortable stack height without running goofy bars..
Just placed an order for the Absolute RS for delivery in July! Sold the Dirt Love as it was a long which is what YT originally recommended but later changed the sizing recommendations. I ordered the medium as I'm 5'10".

Have you gotten this bike yet? How does the medium feel? I am 5'10" and am looking at the large since that is what I rode at the Riveter in NC.
Just got a small @5'7 and love it. Just wonder as I know nothing about tech stuff is any crank will fit on it? They use a bsa 73 bb and a 19mm spindle on the stock crank and would like to upgrade the crank, what should I look for?
