Hi all

On the 2nd December, I was burglared and all my bikes and power tools were taken from my garage. In a nutshell, they broke into my garage through the roof and then used my power tools to break all the locks off my bikes and they also used my power tools to remove all the locks from the inside rear door of my garage to leave with all my possessions.

The police eventually arrested the guys on 18th December 2020 and found them to be in possession of numerous stolen mountain bikes and various mountain bike accessories. Enough was found in their possession for the police to drive forward with their investigation.

Through my own inquiries, I managed to locate these low life scum thieves within 72hrs and they are from Preston Lancashire. I have their full details but due to the ongoing investigation, my hands are currently tied. The police have said all my bikes have been sold and the police have various text messages from their phones that prove they have sold them.

If anybody comes across these bikes in the North West, please can you drop me a message and let me know or contact the police.

Bikes stolen:

Ibis Ripmo V1 in Black and Olive (medium)
2020 Fox 36 Factory Grip 2, Shimano XT 12 Speed Groupset, Shimano XT 4 pot brakes, Shimano XT pedals, KS Lev dropper post, Thomson Stem, Ibis handlebars, and Ibis Wheels, Hope Vision 4 LED front light, Lezyne Zecto Drive 250 front and rear lights, RRP Proguard front and rear (mine)

Orange Five (medium)
Shimano SLX Groupset inc brakes, Thomson blue stem and Thomson Black handle bars, Rockshox dropper post (mine)

Calibre Rake (medium)
Virtually brand new with shimano running gear (wife’s bike)

Trek Pre Calibre 16
Orange in color (daughters bike)

White Halfords balance bike (son’s bike)

Various Makita power tools were also taken. I would really appreciate any info to help get back my bikes. Please either let me know or the police know. I have photos of the low life scum, home address, and contact details. If you have had any bikes stolen around the Preston ends let me know and I can point you in the right direction.

These low life scum traveled 25 miles from Preston to burglar my garage and are known for stealing bikes.

Thanks in advance and have a good Christmas and New Year to all.

These guys are bastards, particularly around Manchester / Salford, I've had every nice bike I've ever owned stolen at some point...seen them with angle grinders cutting through locks and barriers at Morrisons in Chorlton in pure daylight. My last one the hardface bastards just walk into the gym in the carpark of media city with no face covering on show of all cameras and just get off with my bike, apparently the footage wasn't 'clear enough'...I've heard that one a couple of times....After a few being stolen it gets to the point you want to 'do something about it' yourself, in some way you are lucky they got caught, probably because yours was a major incident, but every single bike I have ever had taken was never recovered and the shitheads never found with the po po's never giving half a toss about looking into it properly no matter how much I tell them it is worth. I was told they go through hands very quickly, sometimes numerous people in just one day and can end up in secret stalls with 100s of bikes around Manchester where they sell them off.
I asked if I could get some kind of gps device, hide it in the frame somewhere and if that would class as proof or evidence to help me retrieve my bike if it was stolen, I was told they still couldn't use that if it was in someone's house due to the 'inaccuracy of gps' XD
