Fox Float DPX2 Question

I just finished my first DPX2 service and I noticed mine had a red seal on the lower section. In every video I've watched, it's not there? I'm not sure why mine has it and if I should take it out or just leave it on. Any ideas?

I believe that it is a negative volume spacer.
If you check out the MEG NEG forums, they will explain the ins & out of adding or reducing spacers.

Yeah that's a negative volume spacer. It's not present on all shocks. It's definitely for a frame specific tune. I think it's for frames with progressive linkage rates, where the mid stroke leverage ratio is high enough not to need a big negative volume/easier collapse.
