14 - Opening day at the local "bike park" (that only has 1 trail). Grilled some burgers, drank some beer, got a few laps in.

158 - Very hot work commute...then escorted my wife as she swam for km in the open water while I paddleboarded because it was too hot to ride.

159 - A lap of South Benson with my wife and a couple of friends at 6 am to beat the heat. Afterwards my wife surprised me with two extra bottles so I could ride from South Benson to Westwood to home..jumped on that opportunity.

Somewhere along the line I lost one of the bottles, which I didn't realize until I was about 20 km and 900m into the ride and had no option but to continue. By this point my only bottle was empty and it was 31 degrees celsius. I made it home in 36 degree temps, 32 km and 1100 meters in, after a good bit of cramping and feeling like I might be in real trouble from dehydration.

Posted about loosing the bottle as it's got some sentimental value (from a trip with my wife to Hood River) then collapsed on the floor with both hamstrings badly cramping at the same time. My wife just laughed and filmed my naked ass squirming on the floor while this all happened.

Shortly later a local shredder messaged that he had seen the bottle, and apologized for not grabbing it as he didn't have the capacity to carry anything. My wife offered to get it if I shuttled her up and picked her up at the bottom (in 38 degree temps now :eekSmile , true love.

I now have my Dirty Finger Bicycle Shop bottle rescued and my day is complete.

Lots of beer and sitting in the a/c now...
