Looking for new tires. Eyeing something with tan walls since they'd look sweet on my bike. However, I'm not a fan of the fashion over function thing.

Rekon+ would be a great amount of tread for me, so they're in the running. However, skin walls only come in the 60 TPI version not 120 TPI.

Everything else seems to be the same (3C MAXX TERRA, EXO, TR), Weights are similar.

Where I ride I never get punctures so that's not a factor.

I ride a hardtail. On the rear the tire is the only suspension I have (I'm a huge fan of plus tire hardtails for this reason, more tire = more squish). Therefore I'm wondering if anyone has experience with how supple the 120 TPI tire is vs the 60 TPI tire. Am I missing out on bump absorption by going with lower TPI?
