Well their more affordable line is plenty good too. I like eyelets on my rims and use E512 rear and M542 front. 3 years on the back of a HCHT is a hard life and the rim has the dents to prove it, but it still seals tubeless effortlessly. Extremely hard to go out of true as well.

I just bought a DT swiss fr560 because the 511 was out of stock. I did a lot of research and found those to be the best value without ever seeing a bad revue. What I also like is that DT Swiss are one of the few companies that state a maximum system weight limit for their rims.

I myself a heavy guy at 106 kg and bought myself fortus 30 2 years ago, but realized they're too heavy for climbing

I'm almost the exact weight as you and prefer the piece of mind of a stronger rim over 50 -100 grams of weight savings, but then I've never had a light set of wheels to compare.

i came from a cb iodine 2 and they were noodle, thought it might be the best to buy the heaviest wheel so that it lasts but
it wasn't the best idea

ex1700 series should be on a 511 rim
