So i have a rallon and chucked on the zeb 180mm. My rear shock is the stock dpx2 230x50 that came on the 2019 rallon m10.
The 180mm fork decreased my head angle from 65.5 to 63 because of the extra 20mm in travel and 30mm of axle to crown length when compared to the 160 fox perf that was on it. So began the battle of geometry.
I have decreased it to 170mm so gaining back half a degree up front if thats correct? Now Orbea have an option to bring up the rear to balance it out as i cant change the axle to crown length. The new linkage they released which increases rear travel by 10mm without (they claim) changing geo but it obviously does. And increasing rear shock travel by 10mm. Increasing my seat tube and un-slackening the bike more. If that makes sense.
I have seen some threads on removing some sort of spacer from inside to increase it. For my shock, is it possible to increase it by 10mm using this method and if not is there anyway to do it without having to buy a new shock?
Maybe someone who knows DPX2 better than me will say otherwise, but as far as I can recall I've never heard of any way to INCREASE the stroke length on a DPX2. The guts of a DPX2 look pretty much like the guts of your garden variety DPS and while you could add a spacer inside the can to SHORTEN the stroke, I don't see any way you could stretch it out.

Okay thanks for the answer! I think I will sell it and get a RS super deluxe to match the Zeb at front, I need some extra rear travel so it makes sense

I'm sure I have read before (on here) that the shaft is the same as on the longer stroke model and that there is a spacer inside that you can remove. That might be about the DHX though.

Can you post a pic of this spacer? I don't recall ever seeing one in any of the DPX2s that I've rebuilt, and when I look at the rebuild manual on the Fox website I don't see anything fitting that description in the photos or drawings. There's just a bottom out 0-ring and washer on the shaft between the eyelet and the bearing body, nothing else.
