Just wanted to share since it has been often discussed as possible but I've yet to see it captured anywhere... you can infact put the Fox Grip 2 Damper in the Marzocchi Bomber Z1 coil fork, and it works pretty damn good!

Someday I'd love to compare the FoxZocchi Z1G2 to a Fox 36 Factory I have converted to coil but... that'll be a a future endeavor.

Can this also be done to the Air version of the Z1? Or just the coil? Or is the idea you get the best of both worlds? Coil with the grip2 damper?

Also, a curious place to do the conversion... car park workshop! Big Grin

Makes sense that it's all compatible, guessing the leg castings are identical on the damper side of things.

I know this is an old post, but the answer is yes....I've upgraded both Z1 Coil and Air versions to Grip 2 dampers. Even a Grip X damper (that's even better because you keep the lockout feature and gain the HSC valve and more clicks for LSC).
