Hi guys, bought my bike with rimpact already installed but picked up cushcore as I planned to swap them over. Now I’m unsure of the added weight and if it’s really worth it? Anyone rode both and can add some pointers if I should just leave the rimpact pro in and sell the cc.
Been quite impressed with the tyre inserts from my first time using them.

In my experience, and this seems to be a general consensus as well; cushcore is going to give you some additional sidewall support. If you are running wider tires or are having issues where the sidewall is folding over, then it's likely you'll enjoy it. You could also try one in the front and another in the rear.

Thanks Ryan for the feedback, I don’t really get any issues with the sidewalls and im running exo casings which I’ll change to exo + eventually.
For me, the added weight of tire inserts in general, was substantial, but had an interesting effect. I added a pair of Hutchinson Griffus tires and Tannus tubeless inserts on my hardtail and noticed two things right away. First, it carried a lot more speed over rocks and roots due to less compression of the tire on each hit. Then second, I did notice it was harder to accelerate up to speed from a stop, which is why I went back to no inserts. See buy sell for a sweet deal.
