I am think of getting a street/ dirt jump bike at the max i have £350 to spend. I was thinking about getting the Commencal MAX-MAX Team. I am 6ft 2 and i think 24" might be a bit small so i think 26" would be better. Any ideas welcome!

Yer,
thats well nice but new would be more preferable. Does anyone know what the difference is between a long or short on the commencal!

what bout a drone... although theyr rigid its only 80 quid for a set of dirt jam comps and the bike only costs 300 to start with...

Yer a drone is nice but again its only 24" but it's nice

if you change the rigids on the drone you have to either by a new hub or a new wheel becase the drone wheel is a 14mm axleSmile

height shouldnt be a factor at all with choosing wheel size (tall bmxers have no problems, other than looking funny). the tuptube length is the only real important one for tall people, if youre 6'2" youll want a frame with a 22" tt or more.
otherwise there are some good bikes for cheap, look around on ebay for good deals but you can get new dmr trainnies and 24sevens for pretty dam cheap nowdays, those max max look very good value but it has 26" which arent as good for trails

I'm 6'4", and I run 24's.
If you can find an old GT rukus UF (the gold one) then get it. They're tight, and were only available in the UK/Europe.
The drone is good.
If you want to save dosh, buy rigid. Get v-brakes. That sort of thing.

Aint nothing wrong with ebay! I found my 05 sTp for only $255 in perfect condition. Just have to be patient, some people don't know what they have. I'd rather go with used, better bike than new, lesser bike.
