I recently bought a used 2021 Marin Alcatraz. Great bike but my front foot hits the tire on barspins and x-ups. I want to swap the stock 170mm mtb cranks for 155mm bmx cranks. The problem is that I can't find a bottom bracket that will fit the bike and one that can accept bmx cranks.

Got these from them. Don’t know bmx standards to know if the axle length on bmx cranks would work for mtb. If you happen to have a 30mm spindle on your Marin then these will slide right in otherwise you would need a new bb

There lies the problem. I'm broke as hell. So the plan is to get bmx cranks and bb as theyre much cheaper.

Found this looks like it’s possible. 155 is awesome when not pedaling. Good luck man!

73mm threaded bb shell.
Euro bb is what you need. They come in 19 and 22mm spindle/bearing sizes and include spacers usually.

BTW 155mm cranks will feel terrible to pedal, and if you ride any other bikes regularly it will feel even worse in comparison to those.

I love Profile Racing but... I think you missed the part where they said they're "broke as hell".

Its a dirt jump bike so i dont intend on doing any enduro races on it. jsut the commute to the local spot which isnt all that bad.
