Trailforks Feature: Wallrides from Around the World
Is there a generally accepted definition? If not, I propose that it has to be impossible to stand on it.

@EricHarger: It's entirely possible that I'm neurodivergent but undiagnosed. Your callous snark having been dispensed with, would you care to provide a real answer now?

@JamesPBlaw: Then I'm gonna have to learn yet another formula. You just got me to learn that you compute the length of a helical path with the Pythagorean theorem, by imagining you cut the cylinder into a sheet, then calculating the length of the hypotenuse of the right triangle formed between the unrolled circumference and the distance traveled down the tube, and finally multiplying that hypotenuse by the number of loops in the helix.

The distance traveled is not what's intrinsically interesting; it's how high off the ground he was riding on the ceiling. Anyway he rode a helical path so the circumference of the circular cross-section isn't even the distance he traveled.

I'm not so sure about that--if skiing stops being possible, those rich families are going to have to find a new hobby, and for some of them it will be MTB. They could even keep their ski cabins and use them as home base for biking instead.

I know that which particular species of rare plant was harmed is beside the point, but it would have been cool to include an example photo of the Drosera in question. Back when I used to keep carnivorous plants, that genus (aka the sundews) was my favorite--gorgeous sticky pads that work like living glue traps that wrap around flies to eat them. I say "used to" because it turns out I do *not* have a green thumb.
