I'm looking at selling my yt jeffsy 2017 and my yt Tues.l and having just 1 do it all bike. I do alot of flattish local riding road and tracks then trail riding a couple of times a month and a few downhill days a year. What's people's opinions is the bronson is it a good allrounder. One thing I love about the jeffsy is it a great climber at 30lbs for a xl. Thanks

It is my one bike quiver (not counting the BMX) for the type of riding I do, which is riding a few times per week descents 2-4K vertical drop, plus chairlifts/bike park with my son on the weekends.

I would characterize it as an “all rounder” in my book, but for me that means a bike I can ride both park and long climbs with. It is not really a middle of the road bike unless you live in large-ish terrain. Hope that is helpful.

Thank you for your reply. Sounds about what I'm looking for. The bulk of my riding is local but I only do that to keep fit for big trail days that are around 2hr drive away. Then like you I take my son to downhill parks in Wales and Scotland. Its the climbing I was most concerned about has the jeffsy is a great climber.

You are on the right track then. I like to buy a bike for the upper limits of my riding so I can keep improving. I do think the Bronson is a good climber. If you are buying for trails and the bike park, it’s a great bike. I can’t imagine replacing mine unless it snaps in half.

I use my 2019 Bronson for everything from flat XC riding (not any fun...XC in general) to park/shuttle days and feel it's great for what I need. I've cleared steep climbs on this bike, that I could not clean on an actual XC bike. Currently has Cascade link and 170mm fork and is amazing!

You should check out this youtube page. These guys are all about Santa Cruz and have some great reviews of all their models and compare them. The bottom line from them is that "yes" the Bronson really is a great all arounder. I have the V3 and I would suggest taking a good look at the mullet.
