Does anyone know yet how we can watch the UCI mtb content in New Zealand this season?

Looks like Spark Sport is scaling back, TVNZ probably doesn't have a budget, so will Sky Sport be the only option for it to go to?

You can usually watch it free on Red Bull TV, assuming they still have it this year.

Redbull is no longer covering the World Cup. Sky sports got a contract for the years ahead to get the full coverage instead. And it’s definitely not free anymore…

A more general question - what's the best option for watching the DH races in the US. I checked the schedule for GCN+, and they appear to have all the races except maybe the world championship at Fort William. I can't find much information on what will be available through Discovery+....anyone have any good info?

UCI killed DH. The coverage is crap this year.
Even if you search how to pay and watch, nothing easy to find Frown

Discovery+ requires a VPN setup in the US. GCN+ is the most poorly designed interface. Can’t find races and end up seeing peoples lane personal profiles. UCI sucks. Bring back Redbull and Rob.

8 years of following dhwc free on rbtv, now gcn and discovery are geo blocked in NZ. f*cking gutted to say the least, I watched live at stupid o'clock every race. f*ck uci

Signed up for discovery+ but soon figured out races are not available in USA without VPN Express VPN costs another $9/month. Dropped discovery 10 minutes after signing up. Hope it at least helps the athletes having it on Warner Bros. Certainly not the USA viewers. Bummed!!

I have a VPn and Dis+ but the app in US is not the same as web version in UK and the passwords don't carry over. So, I guess the option is buy a Dis+ through UK? One would think a US brand would pump out info on how to watch their own riders?

Anyone have a better solution?

Looks like GCN+ is the only way to watch in the US... Not sure I want to deal with that frustration since it means watching on a laptop instead of a big screen. Following DH live was fun while it lasted

I’m in NZ too. I’ve signed up for a GCN+ account and watched the juniors live last night as a test run. A Kiwi rider, Erice Van Leuven, won the women’s race. The app is tricky to navigate but times are correct for our timezone, and the monthly subscription is $12.99. I figured I’d sign up for the month and see how it goes.

I started to vent about the commentary but there's enough of that here: https://m.pinkbike.com/news/replay-junior-finals-at-the-lenzerheide-dh-world-cup-2023.html

There were a few random glitches during the broadcast, including showing senior women’s practice (?) times mixed up with the junior men’s, so expect some teething problems and gremlins. The CGN app wouldn’t let me stream to my lounge TV from my iPhone or iPad, so I ended up watching it in another room on Apple TV.

Ya, The only way I could find to watch was to get the GCN+ app on my apple tv. commentary is horrible, Leogang had no commentary at all, Lol. at least I didn't have to listen to those 2 again. they say it's on Discovery + but I can't find it? Making it harder for people to watch, I don't understand, Redbull was so easy and fun to listen too.

I'm watching Leogang currently on YouTube.

Man, this last race was insane! Dry to rain to dry again and they just went faster and faster. It was intense watching the last 15 or so riders in the mens race!
