Has anyone been on a Range and the new Firebird? I’ve had a Range for the last two years, love it. I mainly pedal to steep, fast, DH trails. Best pedalling position I’ve ever had. Can pedal for days and not get sore. Love the confidence the bike gives me to jib things while shredding fast or to keep up with people faster than me. I don’t love how heavy it is while carrying it on massive alpine missions, and it’s pretty loud. I ride a medium and am 5’6”. I ride flats.

I tried a slash and hated it. Went medium but the large felt way better except the massive seat post and high top tube. Felt too steep and twitchy, feet would bounce off pedals, poor tracking possibly due to too stiff bontrager carbon rims.

Thinking about trying a Pivot Firebird. Would go Medium even though they recommend small. No chance. I don’t give a shit how jibby a bike is.

Any one with any insight on a comparison between the Range and Firebird?
