Hi guys,

Just wondering: I am considering buying a Norco Range, and to my surprise, the specsheet specifies a Norco P/N to the UDH.

Sold as a SRAM UDH but:

Product Description
Norco derailleur hanger, gear mech hanger, dropout replacement for bike models:

Norco Optic 2020
Norco Sight 2020
Norco Fluid 2020-2021
Axle thread - M12x1.75mm

Supplied with lock nut (Outside Diam. 29,6mm) and lock nut tool.

I don't get the point here, could someone please enlighten me? Thanks!

It's a new one to me to say SRAM and universal spec on a derailiuer hanger @Padded.

They're universal from what I know.

A lot of brands use a udh standard frame but manufacture a different hanger. You can use a udh with it or the norco one. Maybe even any other brands model of the udh theoretically

It's not universal at all. There is v1. V2. V2.1.

The hanger includes the threads for the axles... Which has different pitches and thread length.

Udh hangers come in 1 1.25 1.5 1.75 mm pitches. Abp requires different nuts and fitting for the outside nut.

They tried to get it standardized but... It's still a gong show.

I am hoping it'll all land on 1mm thread pitch and 13mm thread length like SRAM uses but it's hard to find axles for this (though there are some on Ali express for this thread pitch and length now but only in length 177mm)
