I am sure this question has been asked a million times but I searched the forum and was having trouble finding a good answer, I have a non boost 20 x 110 hub on my front wheel and just bought a Fox 40 which is a 20 x 110 boost fit. Is there a way to make my existing hub work? Is there an adapter out there I can get. Any good spacer hacks or anything like that?

I am not to worried about loss of strength or anything as this bike is for my son who weighs 100 pounds soaking wet.

Thanks for the help

Depending on which model of hub you have, some companies such as MRP make de-boost kits.

Here is a link to the bike.

Apparently it has a Answer atac dh tr29. It came with a non boost X-fusion fork that I didn't think was up to the task.

Just looking into it for you now, they could well be a rebranded sun ringle wheelset @powderhoundbrr.

If you ultimately cannot find a production de-boost kit that is compatible with the hub, consider reaching out to Pete.

I'm willing to bet that if you send him your end caps, he can machine a new pair for you.

Thanks, it is in fact a rebranded sun ringle wheelset. At this point might just be easier to buy a new wheel. Although I like the idea of custom fabricated parts.

Boost hub disc mounts are just 5mm closer to the axle endcap.
So there is the boost adapter kits you can buy, and just use the longer disc bolts and 5mm disc spacer plate. (Ignore the axle spacers)

15*110 kit is the one you'd need.
