Hi all,

I put Hope Tech V4 Brakes on my enduro bike. The stopping power and modulation is great, but the levers are uncomfortable. I have them adjusted to the closest position and have to loosen my grip (or my grip on the grips) to get 1 finger over them. This is because they are a too chunky, long, and at an angle. I don't think I can further address this with cockpit adjustment. Does anyone have an idea or an aftermarket lever? I like the brake feel but I can't stomach the levers.

Are these Tech 3 V4'S or the new Tech 4 V4's?

V4s. I adjusted them and they feel a bit better. Torn if I don't like them, or if I'm getting used to them.

I use Hope a lot and after you get used to them I suspect they'll be your favorites. I cant imagine using a break where the lever comes all the way to the bar. You might try moving them as close to the grip as you can to get the "chunky" part toward the outside of the bar. I dont think that changing the lever would make much difference as they're all pretty similar. I personally love that feeling.

I also find t4 levers of a poor design and plain uncomfortable, would be happy to switch to something closer to T3 shape
