Looking for other bikes before pull trigger on a Salsa horsethief

Hello, I am one of the few still loving 27.5+ bikes. I currently have a 2022 specialized evo alloy that is an alright bike. I have an older Salsa bucksaw with a 27.5+ set that I spend almost all my time riding. I love the bike but it is showing its age and the 100mm travel is just a bit less than I would like. Also very upright geomtry and mid componets.

Been trying to find modern 27.5+ full suspension bikes and seems like slim pickings. Would like something in like the 120-140 travel with option to have higher end componets. Budget is set at a soft 5k, maybe more if can sell my specialized for a decent price. So far my best candidate has been the salsa horsethief, it comes with 29 wheel set but says compatible with 27.5+ Another big pro is my local bike shop sells salsa, just little hesitant as would be like 5k for bike then another 2k or so for the wheels I want.

Found another possible bike the spot mayhem, really small company kind of close to me though. Heard mixed things about them though.

Could also consider looking at some used bikes, would probably not want to go any older than 2020 though.

Would love to hear if anyone else has some bikes I should look into before I pull the trigger on the horsethief.

I’m interested in this too. Where I ride the 27.5+ sized tires have been my fav out of 4 bikes that I’ve had. It’s a shame they went away so fast, they handle loose rock so well it seems where my other bikes are skidding around. Salsa has been the only one I’ve found so far

I’ve got a Salsa Rustler from 2020. 130 in back and 27.5+. For me it strikes a perfect balance of shortish rear center to be super playful while somehow still staying composed at speed. The thing rips.
