Hi,

Just considering upgrading my forks, old pikes to something more modern which will be a boost size front axle fork.

My hope pro 4 are are non boost but I see there is a conversion kit for for the front hub to convert it to boost size just by using different end caps.

Just before I make the expensive decision to go ahead with a new fork I was just wondering if there any downsides to using a conversion kit for my front wheel to convert it to boost size?

I can’t think of any but thought I would ask.

Thanks!

I did this recently with a Hope Pro 4 front 15x100mm hub to fit Boost 15x110mm Fox 36s
went for the most straight forward no hassle aproach, got a

MRP Better Boost Hub Conversion Kit, specific to Hope Pro2 and Pro4 hubs,
as theres DT Swiss versions amongst others.

Theres the Hope boost kit end cap but you only get ONE end cap and
are expected to re dish the wheel, blah blah etc

You could buy 2 Hope boost end caps and reduce them by 5mm each and then
your wheel will be centred like the MRP, then you just have to buy the disc rotor
spacer separately.

There are some others but I cant say, I just couldnt be arsed to mess around so just
went with the MRP, simple straight forward, as I like it to be.

Double check and re read before you buy just to make sure your know what your getting : )

OH and down sides to a conversion kit, its extra cost, though so is a new boost wheel
if your coming from a non boost, but adapter is cheaper than a new boost wheel.

Thanks very much for the message, think I get it now. Mrp kit doesn’t require the wheel to be redished where as the hope kit does require a redish.

Things are never quite as straight forward as you hope, swapping a fork is getting more involved
