Hey- Not a lot out there in these bikes. But I just built up an airdrop edit Mx. I’m super excited to get out and ride this thing! Company seems cool and the quality on the frame is great.

I’ll report here with my ride impressions later this week.

And I’ll add some photos shortly

I am curious what experiences others have had with them? Where do they do best and any drawbacks people notice. It seems a little heavy lifting it, but pedals really smoothly

So, I’ve got some time

on the edit Mx now. I’m very pleased although it took a bit of playing with the suspension to get it dialed.

For how heavy this bike is it pedals great and feels super lively on the descents. It tracks the ground well and the geo is super comfy and confidence inspiring. Again, it’s more playful than the travel and weight would suggest.

It does well in tech climbs despite the smaller rear wheel too. Great traction

One more update.

I just completed a trip to Bellingham and Whistler. This bike rocks. Super confident on everything and handled the bike park well.

Super happy with the purchase. Now I want a slacker too.

Anybody else riding airdrop?

I've also got an edit mx. Coming from a v1 megatower it's a very different ride.

So far I'm finding it a bit hit and miss. On the right trail it feels great, but the rear end definitely lacks much of a platform to push against. I find it feels much more at home on faster flow trails than it does pushing it on chunky stuff.

My assessment as it stands now is that it's a pretty fun bike, but not for racing. I ended up putting the push SV8 coil on the back and that was a surprisingly big upgrade over the Rockshox super deluxe. I was able to get it much more dialed.

This bike can handle every trail that I can, but I still feel like it's better to play your way down the trail than to plow fast. I live in a very rocky region, and on big tech trails it's much better to skip across that rocks or from rock to rock than to plow, which is interesting, given that it's a pretty heavy/long travel bike. I've got it overstroked to 167mm of travel in the back.

I'm still a little curious if I'd prefer the Madonna v3, but for now, I'm pretty happy where this one is at.
