Z2 uppers with rhythm 34 lowers?

I have a z2 with the dreaded worn bushings after four years. I also have a fox 34 rhythm with a steerer cut too short. Any way I can make a Franken fork? Z2 uppers with 34 lowers. I know the air shafts will work since they are the same, but what about the dampers?
