Video: The 2 Most Dangerous Features in Squamish with Rémy Métailler
ok, this video is a great example of the differences between Remy, and the rest of us. Matt is an incredibly competent rider, he rides all the time and you can see he is very skilled. He looks like a beginner going down these trails in front of or behind Remy. Look how they approach the small drop at the bottom of the feature at 22:00. Matt carefully navigates it and rides out smoothly. You know this is a serious part of the trail because Matt looks focused and controlled. Remy stops, hops the drop and rides out like he just dropped down a curb.

Shimano Reinvents Deore Group With New Brakes & Cable-Actuated Drivetrain
@Tinshield: If the breakaway force is the same. Why use clutch anywhere? I'll stick with microshift for mechanical. Not as smooth, but I still like it, and its cheaper.

I don’t understand the no clutch. The idea that it creates a wedge shape to avoid impacts is ridiculous. Maybe the idea is to put these on e-bikes that never see dirt, but that’s what Claris is for. The brakes are cool and all, but weird decision on a mtn bike groupset.

Rockshox 35 gold rl 194mm steerer

$175 USD
Selling a RockShox 35 Gold RL A2 (FS-35G-RL-A2), 29” wheel, 140 mm travel, Boost 15x110, DebonAir air spring with Motion Control damper. This is a 2022 production fork (serial 36T2…), with very low hours on it. • Wheel size: 29” • Travel: 140 mm • Axle: 15x110 Boost • Offset: 44 mm (trail / AM spec) • Steerer: tapered, cut to 194 mm • Steerer star nut: installed (confirm based on your fork) • Spring: DebonAir air spring • Damper: Motion Control, external rebound + lockout • Brake mount: post mount disc • Condition: almost new, stanchions are clean, very small wear marks, and some dirt. See pics. Great upgrade over OEM entry-level forks: stiff 35 mm chassis, modern air spring, easy to service, and tons of info/parts available. Only selling because I upgraded to a different fork and this one is just sitting.

First Ride: The 2027 Scott Spark RC Keeps the Shock Hidden and Gets Even Lighter
@sxcxc: agreed on the ride. Scott bikes just seem to ride better (for me). They've just never been the right bike for my budget (hopefully that will soon change!)

First Ride: The 2027 Scott Spark RC Keeps the Shock Hidden and Gets Even Lighter
@bluefire: I think scott gets a pass because they are trying to innovate. A lot of other brands, it feels like aesthetic decisions on a beige bike. Scott feels like aesthetic decisions on a legit different looking, different riding bike. Plus Scott owners are like Ducati owners (credit to Fortnine), they don't do their own maintenance: Need your tire changed? Visit Scott (Ducati) Authorized Service Center because our Maxxis tires are special and cannot be removed with vulgar nylon tire levers. They must be removed by the gnarled fingers of a 70 year old virgin bike mechanic. Need your handlebar rotated 5 degrees back? Visit Scott (Ducati) Authorized Service Center because our bars require precisely 3.9 Nino-meters of torque measureable only by our exclusive Scott-developed and manufactured torque wrenches available only to Scott (Ducati) Authorized Service mechanics. Need your brake hose shortened? You must visit a Scott (Ducati) Authorized Service Center because its now buried under 10 layers of exotic, directionally, and chakra aligned carbon fiber and you can't get to it without a depleted uranium coated in rhino penis leather tool sold only to, you guessed it, Scott (Ducati) Authorized Service Centers

First Ride: Specialized’s New DH Bike Has a Wild Drivetrain & a Lot to Prove
It looks really well thought out and as much as I like being able to pick and choose my parts, it sounds like they really worked closely with sram to optimize the shifting system. Also, maybe this is dating me, and i honestly havent ridden a boxxer since pre 2020, but for some reason this frame feels like it needs a dorado pro. I dont have one of those either, but something about it. its only $6500 usd for the frame and $2000 for the dorado. Im sure I can put together a hell of a dh kit for the extra $3,000...for the three times a year I go dh riding.
