I would have posted the links to the warranty document but am barred to since they are links after all. But if you search up "commencal warranty" and then "commencal warranty 2019" it should be easy to find and you can read the first section to see what they changed.
1. People having trouble with warranty claims 2. Their frames/bikes getting more expensive 3. Commencal frames breaking more than most (at least thats what I gather from the forums) 4. Reduced Warranty
They kinda make it hard to want to buy a commencal. I bought a meta tr last week, and held of from buying one back in September since I was waiting for other parts to arrive, that little move cost me 3 years of my warranty. This Meta TR will probably be my first and last commencal.
An interesting takeaway from the new warranty terms is that If you have a Supreme frame/bike commencal retroactively changed the warranty. The old warranty only guaranteed the supreme for 2 years, whereas the new warranty terms guaranteed 5 years... if you bought the frame before Jan 1, 2019. I wonder why they added that considering no one is able to take advantage of that anymore since 5 years have passed.
Just thought I'd share this information in case anyone factors this kind of stuff into their buying decisions. I know I wouldn't have bought a meta tr had I known they changed the warranty.
