I'm trying to get to 140mm travel which I've heard can be achieved with a dhx2 coil shock but has anyone tried this with a fox air shock? Is there enough clearance. I'm keen to stick with fox to match my forks.

well in the end i purchased a Fox Factory Float DPX2 Evol 210x55 Rear Shock. I had more clearance between the frame and reservoir at full compression than i imagined so could have gone for even more travel but this is i nice balance.

The cascade link has transformed this bike. It rides so much more surefooted on rocky root covered terrain than before and it was already a great bike. I used it on a recent black trail in wales and the bike was perfect. With the custom respray its like a whole new bike (although i didnt enjoy hand sanding of the old paint - all 34hrs worth of it).

New respray and fresh build
