I haven't purchased a canfield bike, but I wouldn't hesitate to.
I have purchased 5 of their AM cranks, and 5 bottom brackets and they have been nothing but superb. Their customer service has been top notch.
I went with their double row sealed bearings for all the cranks. I had some issues with one of the BB installation, but got it working. 850 miles later I took it out to regrease/clean and noticed it was rolling pretty rough.
I emailed canfield to ask if this was normal, as my other bb have had zero issues. We walked through the things that I did, if i pressure washed it (no) etc. Both parties just trying to diagnose what was going on. In the end, I felt like it still "worked" despite being rough and would wait until the summer until I purchased another one.
NGL, deep inside, i felt a bit sad that it went bad at 850 miles, i'm 130lbs and most my bb's go 5-7K miles. Needless to say, Canfield stepped up and is shipping me a new bb (without me asking them to). This surprised me. Some places just want to take care of their customers. I've heard nothing but great stuff when it comes to people who own canfield bikes. Perhaps a Nimble is in my future!
