Race Replay: 2026 Leadville Trail 100 MTB
@jpb1227: @jpb1227: you clearly have never ridden leadville.
if i ride an enduro race with a xc mtb, is it all of a sudden on an enduro?
can you do leadville on a gravel bike (the real course)? the answer is YES.
can you win leadville on a gravel bike? the answer is NO.
if you have ridden it, you would know. you'd lose so much time on the descents. we're talking a real gravel bike, not a gravel bike with a 80-100mm travel fork.
imagine a downhill race composed of 1500 people, and 5 or so people ride xc mtb's and people saying it's not a dh course. lmfao.

Intend Releases Elevator Dropper Seat Post
as a short rider, this is the dumbest seatpost ever. what's the point making it shimmable to 120, it's not going to fit into most small frames. lmfao.

Intend Releases Elevator Dropper Seat Post
@totaltoads: yeah, i know people like that too. i personally love them. great for bike shops, great for the bike industry, and great for me. because in those items eventually hit the used market place, and if interested, i can have it at 40%+ off, knowing that it was mostly ridden on blue flow trails.

Air Bag Protectors Could Revolutionize Safety in Downhill Racing - Here's What We Know So Far
@ishouldbebiking: how much do you weigh?
i personally notice zero difference from wearing a regular lightweight helmet, vs wearing my leatt 5.5 armor, elbow pads, leatt pants, 4.5 neck brace, and leate 3.0 enduro full face.
that's probably about a 4lb difference and i'm only 135lbs. maybe i'm not riding hard enough, or i'm just too strong lol

Air Bag Protectors Could Revolutionize Safety in Downhill Racing - Here's What We Know So Far
@grantx19: yeap. i know a guy that rides with a full face, neck brace, and shirtless. i never asked him why, but reality is that he isn't worried about broken ribs, and figures the chances of crashing and breaking something in his thoracic spine is less likely than going otb and getting a sci/cervical injury.
it makes a lot of sense.

you got people slapping metal weights to their bikes.. 7lbs isn't much, considering the average adult man at the bike park is probably pushing 180.
it's not 7lbs, it's more like 4lbs more than the ce2 you're already wearing. but that's just my opinion. cost is going to be the factor, not weight, imo.

please post. when they come out with a mtb algorithm (esepcially for lighter riders) i'm buying one. i just had a bad crash last week, and if it wasn't for my neck brace, i probably wouldn't be typing right now.
